I am going to KILL the stupid people who designed or programmed my printer! GRRR!

I needed to print out the article I had to read, as well as my course notes, and my homework for my humanities class. So I go into the office and plug my laptop into my printer...click print on the documents, and it tells me that there’s no cyan ink left. So I'm like, "that's nice, I'm trying to print in black!" so I press the "black" button on my printer but it's being a stubborn ass and won't let me print. So I then go into my document's properties and change it to greyscale...therefore not needing the colour ink cartridges at all.

It still won't print.

So I'm there talking out-loud to my printer "you stupid thing! I don't need "cyan" ink! I want to print in freaking black!!!" and by this point I'm on the verge of tears by frustration because I need these papers for TOMORROW and it's like 10:45 PM so it's not like I can just run out and buy the damn ink! That's when I re-open the properties menu and read this: "MFC will stop Color/Greyscale print operations when one or more of the ink cartridges are empty."
.   .    .    .    .

FUCKING BUSINESSMEN! "Oh look this is how we can be SURE to make a maximum amount of money!  Let’s make sure people can't print anything unless they have FOUR full ink cartridges! That way, when they have a simple, plain, black and white essay due and they run out of yellow ink...they MUST go out and spend 40$ on the yellow ink to be able to use their black ink! (Imagine if they run out of yellow AND blue ink...that's 80$ to be able to print in black and white!)
No, let's not make a useful, satisfactory product which will make sure people are able to print what they need when they need it (when they have the two physically relevant pieces; the printer itself and the black ink), so that they'll be happy and satisfied that we put their need before our greedy little, corporate fingers! "

I may just write "Brother" a nice little polite email letting them know that their idiots and they are completely useless.

P.S. Happy Late-Birthday Max! :)

It's been such a long time since I've last updated my blog that I don't even remember what the last thing I wrote about was!

Well anyways today I want to rave about the new book by my favorite author, Anne Bishop. Her latest book, "The Shadow Queen (A black Jewels Novel) came out on tuesday. I've been SO excited about this book that it's been highlighted in my school agenda for since September, and I went downtown on tuesday to buy it and then read it from like 10 pm to 4 am where I decided I should probably get some sleep. then the next - well later that morning at like 10 am i started to read again then I finished it around 2 pm.  When I really get into a book I try to read straight through without stopping.

The book was AWESOME (for lack of a better adjective) just like I expected. Anne Bishop created such a rich, well and fully developed, sensual world in her original "Black Jewels Trilogy" and even in her other non-related works, the worlds she creates just continue to astound me. I love that in this novel, she portrayed that Jaenelle and Daemon's relationship wasn't perfect and that the character of Daemon has the potential to scare the shit out of himself. My favorite aspect of the whole book though was that the importance was given to the two "weaker" characters; underdogs if you will. Cassidy is a Rose Jeweled Queen who had nowhere to rule, but she's given a chance to rebuild a territory far away from her home, and it isn't easy. The people don't accept her readily but the book shows that she can rise up to the challenge, which is a good message to pass on through a book I find.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the book and I already can't wait for Anne Bishop's next book!  For anyone interested whom I haven't already harassed into reading them, The Black Jewel Trilogy  is an awesome series to take up, the first one is titled "Daughter of the Blood".

YES! YES! and TRIPLE YES!!!!!!!! I am SO estatic right now! The entire Province is in celebratory chaos and we WON 5-0 over Boston! How AWSOME is that?! :D

My friends and I have come to the conclusion that I cannot eat or drink ANYTHING during the game because everytime I do, they lose therefore, no food and no drinks for me! I just sit and watch the game while yelling at the TV.

Also, I find it quite hilarious that the entire Bell Center would boo Zdeno Chara, #33 for the Bruins, EVERYTIME he touched the puck. One minute the crowd is cheering then as soon as he gets the puck it's instant "BOO!!" ... all in all though it must have been INSANE at the Bell Center tonight! Everyone important was there! Even the ex-Prime Minister Jean Chretien was there! I wish I could have been there! :)

Congradulations on the Win guys of the Montreal Canadiens and good luck in the next round!

I am SO angry right now....stupid Bruins! But it was such a good game...I just can't believe the Bruins scored FOUR f*cking times in the third period!

We'll be home for the seventh and final game....the Habs HAVE to win or else I swear that the province of Québec will go into acute depression cuz seriously the whole of Montreal is so psyched right now....

WHAT the HELL was that???? First period Alex Kovalev scores, I'm like YES!!!!!! Second period, what's his name from the Boston Bruins scores on Price, and i'm like DAMNIT! but 1:1 is that bad so then third period comes around and Price makes a great save with his glove then PUT THE MOTHER F*CKING PUCK BACK ON THE ICE!!!!! and Metropolit is right THERE!!!! and PUSHES it in!!!!! I was LIKE WHAT the F*CK was that?!?!  okay 2:1 still not impossible to come back so I don't get my hopes up. Price is beating himself up for that mistake for the rest of the game and therefore let in 3 more mediocre shots!!!! I cried! Carey Price was my hero....I won't forgive him for his original, monstrous mistake but I will forgive him for beating himself up over it and letting in three more goals for the Bruins. He did do a fantastic scoop save before that though for which I raise my invisible hat.

I seriously, cried. I felt ridiculous cuz I've never been so into hockey before but I was CONVINCED we were gonna win tonight. The city of Montreal has complete playoffs fever, so many cars have Habs flags, there are people all over the city wearing Habs jerseys, it's all anyone talks about, and I even saw the 211 bus this morning flashing "Go canadiens Go!". I was SO excited for tonight, It was our home game, we were leading 3:1, one more game and we would have gotten to rest before playing the Pittsburgh Penguins....and then we go and get our asses royaly kicked by Boston!

We HAVE TO win on Saturday....or else...or else.....I don't know, but something!! and I want my hero, Carey Price, back! let him be Awsome on Saturday!

GO HABS GO!!!!

Yesterday, God decided to spite me. He decided that I was going to be wet...
Okay, so I had a long break before calculus (yuck) class and decided to go for a walk out on the Sainte Anne de Bellevue lakeshore. I walked all the way to the docks, which is about 15 minutes walk. On my way back, I was walking on the sidewalk, minding my own business when a truck decided to drive right into the puddle of water beside the sidewalk. My entire right side was soaked...
Anyways so after glaring at the truck and saying to myself "oh well nothing I can do about it" I continued my walk back to school. That when it started to rain. I was like..."Why God?! Why?! I'm already sick!!". Its true I'm just getting over a particularly nasty cold now I'm just coughing a hell lot.

We have a system at school that permits, well, eases the teacher/student communication, called Omnivox. We can receive and submit homework through that site and send the teachers messages with our concerns and the likes. It's a pretty neat system. Anyways, my calculus teacher decided that it was too good for him so he set up his own web site for us to access. The reason I'm making this post is because the last time he updated the website, is on a completely impossible date! Number 1) it would be in the future considering we are now February 3rd 2008, and number 2) the day itself doesn't exist...not even on a leap year!!

Well yesterday my chem. teacher went one step further than just personifiying the atoms, he gave them a life! Now, the atoms in covalent bonds are in a marriage! That's deep isn't it? My chem class is turning out like the atom's "The Sims". lol

Edit:> They, the atoms and components, have love affairs too...I swear I'm gonna write that play....

I was in chemistry class today and I made the oddest and most useless observation ever ( and I don't mean about  chemicals)!

My teacher was talking about, well introducing really, ionic bonding (which is when elements bond to form a compound by gaining and losing electrons etc...) anyways, I noticed that when chemistry teachers are trying to get this concept (of losing and gaining electrons) across to the students, they always personify the atoms. My highschool chemistry teacher did and now my CEGEP chemistry teacher does. I think it's hilarious how coordinated they all are in their lessons! lol

I think by now I could probably write a short play about atoms who ("who" not "which" because they are being personified!) want to bond!
Maybe someday it would be used in chemistry classes everywhere!! :D lmao!

OMG! I cannot believe that I passed all of my courses at school this semester! My Media class in particular considering I didn't hand in the final essay and the last assignment which were, together, worth 40% and i didn't get 100% on everything else so I have no clue how I ended up with exactly 60% by I did and I'm sure as hell NOT going to complain! :D
I'm excited to be starting the Schience program next week. It gonna be a lot of hard work but my friend already said that she was gonna slap my forehead everyday to make sure I did my homework!
I finally have a working scanner at home now which means that I will be abel to update my Deviant Art more often now! The next thing I want to get (after I buy myself a PS3) is a graphic tablet and photoshop so I can color my work hopefully a little better than I do with markers and pencil crayon.

I just learned something today...bad moods are contagious.

I had a perfectly O.K. day at school today (if you don't count the fact that my french teacher is completely incompetent and useless but I'm not so...) and I was in a normal mood perhaps even excited because I found out today that my school has exchange programs!!!

Now I should probably explain whats been happening in my home this week...

We didn't know that we heated with oil; we learned that when we asked our landlord why the hell our heat wasn't working. Anyways, its been rather cold in Montreal this past week so we needed heat. But of course we need to call the oil company, they need to come give a consult, etcetera, etcetera. My mom got all of that preliminary stuff done and the oil was delivered today and our landlord was supposed to be home today so that we could have access to the tank (which is in his basement). he wasn't. He was out playing golf after promising that he would at least give us the key if he left. My mom has been dealing with this all day and when I got home...x,y, and z happened (making my mom have a bad mood) and my good mood soon vanished.

Its amazing how that works...it sucks, yes, but its amazing how moods are contagious...even good moods are contagious...why did today have to be crappy? *sigh*

Well I started Cegep on monday, and I'm not sure that i like it yet. I'm someone who really like comfort zones and Cegep is totally different from what I'm used to in high school. I don't really like having weird schedules, I prefer the symmetry that high school schedules had like two classes in the morning, recess, two more classes lunch, then two more classes to finish off the day, each of those classes being 50 minutes long. now I start off most days with 3 hour lecture classes -_-u at 8:30 in the morning...those are as good as bedtime stories! but I guess it's not really the fact class time isn't symmetrical that bothers me, I think its that my friends don't all have the same breaks as me so its going to be hard to spend time together.

Cegep is also turning out to be what, in grade six, I expected highschool to be, wth joint desk/chairs (which are horribly uncomfortable...) more mature kids around and a much heavier work load. Anyways, I'l get used to this, just like I got used to high school in the begining, and I'll make some new friends, and I think I'll actually enjoy the challenge of a heavier workload. In high school I could do almost no work (or all the work at last minute and still get good marks. Now it feel like I'll have to actually work to get decent marks and work HARD to get good marks. yay! -_-u

I finally updates my DA account with a bit of new art. It's not all of the new stuff that i wanted to post but alot of it is lineart and I want to add color to it somehow before posting it up. I would also like to start a Manga series sometime...although I want to plan it out properly first and get some ways into it before I post anything, this is really just a future project I have in mind...I don't think I'll actually have time to get to it with school work, and pay work, and homework...a lot of work in other words.
wish me luck...*sigh*

I can't believe I'm starting CEGEP in like 20 days. It feels like summer just started...maybe that's just because I've been really busy this summer compared to my previous ones. I usually feel like I'm going insane by the end of the summer from lack of doing anything for two months; this summer I feel like I'm going insane because I haven't stop running around working, seeing my dad, my friends, and all that jazz. All that to say I'm excited for school to start, so that I can finally see what CEGEP is like...:D

I went to the Montreal anime convention this sunday, Otakuthon. I wanted to go saturday too but I ended up working in the morning and when I tried to call my friend she didn't answer and I didn't want to run around by myself so I went home. It's SO much smaller than Anime North...but it should be getting bigger and bigger since I think that this was only the Otakuthon's second year in existance. I'll definitely try to go next year again!

I would also like to say that i haven't forgotten about my Deviantart. I'll be uploading a shitload of pictures soon! I've had tones of new drawings for a while now...I just don't own a scanner and I can never manage to take good enough photos of the drawings so I have to wait 'till I can borrow my best friend's scanner, if I don't forget to bring my art to her place in the first place....so complicated...@_@

Anyways i just wante to say i haven't forgotten about LJ so there you have it! :D bye bye

I've finished high school. My last exam, physics, was yesterday and I'm supposed to go pick up my report card on Friday... yet it doesn't really feel like I’m done yet. It feels like I’m just gonna go through the summer like I usually do and go right back in the fall. I think it's probably going to hit me in like august when I have to really start getting ready for CEGEP. *sigh*

Anyhoo... I realized that when you move, unpacking makes packing seem useless. I mean you just put the stuff in the damned box and now you’re already taking it out...what’s the point?! lol  Well now I live in a much bigger place that feels like a house even though it's still an apartment but its just such a cool place! I have a whole designing project in mind for my new room which I'm sure my mom is gonna love. That's bound to be fun to do! :D
